For the ambiance of a wood fire without the hassle of storage timber and feeding the fire, it is hard to go past the gas logs.
"The open gas fires give the ambiance of a fireplace while the sealed units to heat effectively, efficiently and in a healthy way of heating because they have a sucker," said Leigh Bohmke corner of the Foyer.
In addition, according to Watters Rhys Foyer of the House, there were many design options available, including crushed glass, spa stones, river stones or white rocks as an alternative to wood in the fireplace.
"We see a lot of units double-sided/see-through be integrated into homes to tie all the rooms - we even had them in outdoor areas with characteristics of the water behind," he said.

Yes and no ,yes if the heater is running ,but as the room warms up the thermostat in the heater turns off the elements and so dose not consume any power , your maximum running cost is 20p per hour , but could be a lot less
